Schroders head of UK wealth to depart

Doug Abbott, the head of UK wealth at Schroders, is set to leave the firm after 15 years.

Having joined as a graduate trainee in 2008, Abbot is now set to move on.

Although his future employer has not yet been revealed, it has been reported that he will take up a role at Vanguard.

UBS appoints UK and Channel Islands wealth head

Abbot was only appointed as head of UK wealth in September 2023.

He replaced Gillian Hepburn who was promoted to the role of commercial director of Schroders’ subsidiary Benchmark.

His responsibilities as UK wealth head will be assumed by Schroders UK head James Rainbow in the interim.
