Axa IM names new CFO

Axa Investment Managers has appointed Jean-Christophe Ménioux as chief financial officer and general secretary.

He will also take up a position on AXA IM’s management board, where he will report to chief executive officer Andrea Rossi.

Ménioux joins from Axa IM’s parent company Axa Group, where he was responsible for its life and savings division. He has also previously served as group treasurer and group chief risk officer at the firm.

He replaces Elie Harari, who has been transferred to Axa Partners as CFO. The firm said Ménioux and Harari will work closely together in a structured transition process through to September.

The news follows the appointment of Erik Jan van Bergen to the newly created role of head of pensions for Europe, and the recent launch of a global smart beta environmental, social and governance fund.

Axa IM manages assets of €666 billion as of March 31, 2016.
