NN IP appoints behavioural scientist

Netherlands-based NN Investment Partners has appointed Roeland Dietvorst to be its lead behavioural scientist within the firm’s innovation team.

In the role, Dietvorst will apply his experience of behavioural science and neuroscience to improve the firm’s investment decision-making processes.

Dietvorst’s background is in cognitive bias, and the dynamics between automatic versus deliberate mental processes.

He was founder of Alpha One, a consumer neuroscience strategy firm, where he helped develop brain imaging techniques that help in understanding the impact of marketing materials, such as commercials and packaging designs.

In his new role, based in The Hague, he will report to Arnoud Diemers, NN IP’s head of responsible investing & innovation.
