Ninety One names emerging market and sustainable equity PM

Ninety One has appointed Julia Hansveden as its emerging markets and sustainable equity portfolio manager.

The London-based role will see Hansveden develop a strategy to complement Ninety One’s range of sustainable capabilities, inclusive of Global Environment, Global Sustainable Equity, UK Sustainable Equity and Global Multi- Asset Sustainable Growth.

Joining from Nordea Asset Management, where she was responsible for the €6 billion Emerging Stars Equity and Asian Stars Equity strategies, Hansveden has 15 years of experience.

Hansveden also served with First Swedish National Pension Fund and BlackRock.

Co-chief investment officer at Ninety One, Mimi Ferrini, said: “Our firm is committed to the goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050, and the broadening of our suite of global sustainable strategies is demonstrative of our commitment to ensure sustainability remains at the core of our business. “We are particularly focused on allocating capital to companies and industries which can drive real-world change in Emerging Markets, enabling a just and inclusive transition.”
