A sustainable finance foundation linked to institutional investors and which is led by private equity boss Jeremy Coller has appointed a policy specialist covering factory farming.
Helena Wright joins The Jeremy Coller Foundation as policy director, a new role focusing on ESG risks surrounding intensive animal agriculture.
Wright will also support the FAIRR initiative, an ESG network made up of institutional investors with $28 trillion in assets under management.
She is formerly vice president of sustainable finance at the World Wide Fund for Nature – formerly the World Wildlife Fund – in Singapore.
The Foundation plans to campaign on food-related policy at COP26 and its first Future of Protein Summit in 2021.
Coller, who is also chief investment officer of Coller Capital, said: “As we seek sustainable solutions to the climate and Covid-19 crises, we’re delighted to have Helena Wright on board to help us put the urgent financial, environmental and public health risks of factory farming right at the front of policy agenda. With her expertise in this field, we look forward to continuing to work with our investor members to change the conversation around factory farming.”
