Clearwater Analytics has launched Clearwater-GPT – a tool it claims to be the world’s first generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology for investment management.
The tool’s generative AI will help investors access their data through interactive prompts and use “insightful, accurate, tailored” AI-generated content to grow their assets under management through a secure interface for sensitive data, said Clearwater Analytics.
With an expected availability to select customers during the second half of 2023, Clearwater Analytics said Clearwater-GPT would help its clients compare their portfolios against their peers with similar assets under management sizes and investment styles.
The creators said that supporting the front and back offices with timely data will improve efficiency while providing visibility across the entire investment lifecycle. Clients will also receive proactive information about their investments covering both public securities and private market investments within the context of their portfolios.
Additionally, the tool will help users address daily inquiries, such as cash position compared to prior periods or how their holdings align with their goals, said Clearwater Analytics.
The impact of being able to “talk” to the data will open up possibilities for institutional investors and their operations teams as they focus on growth across their portfolios, claimed the makers.
Souvik Das, chief technology officer at Clearwater Analytics, commented: “Our employees are already using Clearwater-GPT to drive operational improvements and handle customer requests faster across business functions, modernising client experience and reducing costs.”
