Clarity AI and CDP partner to launch impact assessment tools

Clarity, AI, CDP, assessment, tools, globalGlobal disclosure systems group CDP has partnered with sustainability tech platform Clarity AI to jointly develop tools for financial institutions to measure and act on their environmental impact.

CDP data will be used in Clarity AI's Net Zero tool, which supports financial institutions in managing and reporting their net zero alignments, in line with the industry-backed Net Zero Investment Framework (NZIF).

CDP’s fund rating Climetrics – a free-to-search database of global ETFs and funds rated on their environmental performance - will also be calculated by Clarity AI.

Laurent Babikian, global director of data products and distribution at CDP, said: “When greenwashing in ESG must be tackled with robust data, we look forward to working with Clarity AI to ensure their clients have the best possible products for building net-zero portfolios and rapidly align their investment flows with the 1.5°C goal of the Paris agreement and our planet’s limits.”

In recent months, Clarity AI has entered other similar partnerships, including in December 2022 when the firm partnered with Refinitiv to develop an SFDR data coverage tool.

CDP was founded in 2000 and works with more than 680 financial institutions with over €121.9 trillion in assets.
