Calculus has launched its second HMRC-approved Knowledge Intensive Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) Fund, following the success of its first fund, which closed in April 2023.
This new fund, closing on April 5, 2024, aims to offer a tax-free return of £2 for every £1 invested, focusing on the UK’s rapidly growing technology and healthcare sectors.
The fund requires a minimum investment of £25,000 and offers a diversified portfolio across at least six companies. Investors are eligible for 30% income tax relief for the current tax year, with an option for carry back to the 2022/2023 tax year.
The fund predominantly invests in young, innovative companies engaged in research and development to create new intellectual property, dedicating at least 80% of its capital to such enterprises.
This initiative aligns with Calculus’s strategy of supporting innovative UK companies driving digital and healthcare advancements.
