AXA Investment Managers has expanded its responsible investment line-up with two new appointments.
The hires of Clément Bultheel and Benjamin Jacot form part of the French investment manager’s effort to further strengthen its ESG capabilities.
Bultheel has been appointed as sustainability coordinator. In the newly created position, Bultheel will work on AXA IM’s sustainability policies and coordination topics to support the organisation’s broader ESG efforts, including in relation to new sustainable finance policies.
He joins from Quantis, where he worked as a sustainable finance consultant.
Bultheel began his career as a research fellow at the Institute for Climate Economics in 2018 before working for nearly three years at the French Ministry of Ecology on regulatory issues related to sustainable finance in France and Europe.
Based in Paris, will report to Clémence Humeau, head of sustainability coordination and governance.
Jacot has been appointed ESG quantitative analyst. He will be responsible for developing climate metrics and models to assess physical and clime transition risk.
He joins from La Française, where he was a quantitative risk manager and financial engineer. There he led the development of new pricing models for alternative asset classes, reverse stress tests for hedge fund strategies, and liquidity stress tests for real estate funds.
Based in Paris, he will report to Yolande Poulou, head of responsible investment solutions, models, and tools in AXA IM’s Quant Lab.
AXA IM manages €563 billion of ESG-integrated, sustainable and impact assets as of the end of December 2021.
