Zeidler Group appoints three division heads to streamline legal reporting and regulatory services

Zeidler Group has updated its leadership and organisational restructuring which includes three heads of divisions appointments.

The technology-driven law firm which provides legal and compliance services for the asset management industry has appointed Jasmina Makovec as head of regulatory services division, Valentin Chantereau as head of legal services division, and Gemma Capelo as head of reporting services division.

The appointments aim to connect the firm’s various divisions in legal, regulatory compliance and data capabilities.

According to the group, the newly formed regulator services division will be led by Makovec who has been with the firm since 2019. The division will provide solutions for counterparty due diligence, fund registrations, ongoing fund governance and facility agents.

Meanwhile, the legal services division will be led by Chantereau who joined the group as head of legal, Paris in 2021. Valentin is an investment funds lawyer and brings over 13 years of experience within the asset management and regulatory compliance industry.

The division will offer legal advisory solutions for asset management including legal advice, fund structuring, compliance services, company secretary services and marketing material reviews.

Zeidler Group’s reporting services division will be led by Capelo who joined the firm as senior associate and product owner in 2021. The division will simplify regulatory reporting requirements with an end-to-end, user-friendly dashboard that aims to eliminate human error and manual processes and enables asset managers to fulfil their regulatory reporting requirements digitally.

The software engineering division will continue to be led by Prashant Patil who has been part of the group’s engineering department since 2018.
