Axioma, a provider of risk management solutions for buy-side institutions, has made another senior appointment to its Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (Emea) operations, with the addition of Sunay Shah as head of multi-asset class solutions.
Shah will help grow the group’s sales team in Europe, steer the development of Axioma’s multi-asset class risk solutions, and foster the firm’s risk management capabilities.
He joins from Fintech firm HighQ, where he served as head of financial services for North America. Previously, he was vice president of strategic sales at S&P Capital IQ as well as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of start-up CDO Software.
The news follows the hire of Sunil Rajan from Standard & Poor’s in February this year. He joined as managing director for Emea.
The role of risk management technology is becoming increasingly important in the asset management industry, as firms often rely on archaic legacy systems and technology ill-equipped to meet the demands of modern multi-asset class investing.
