Schroders has appointed James Lindsay-Fynn to the position of portfolio manager in its Fixed Income Global Multi-Sector fund team.
He joins a team comprised of six fund managers, supported by eight fixed income analysts and strategist located across the globe.
Lindsay-Fynn joins from Rogge Global Partners, where he was a partner and global macro portfolio manager specialising in interest rates and currencies for global portfolios. He will continue his focus on rates and currencies in his new role.
During his six years at Rogge, Lindsay-Fynn co-managed fixed income total return, global aggregate and government strategies. Other previous positions include absolute return portfolio manager at GAM, associate director at Evolution Securities, and vice-president in fixed income at Bank of America Securities.
The appointment follows two high profile departures at Schroders. Earlier in April, it was announced Iain Cunningham, co-manager of the Multi-Asset Income, Global Multi Asset Allocation, and Global Multi-Asset Income funds would be leaving after a decade at the firm.
In March, chief executive Michael Dobson retired after 14 years in the role. During his tenure, Schroders’ assets under management tripled and profits reached a “record level” of £600 million (€742.5 billion) .
Schroders manages assets of £313.5 billion globally.
