Multi-asset fund manager to exit Schroders

DepatureMulti-asset manager Iain Cunningham will leave Schroders in June after nearly a decade at the firm, to pursue new opportunities.

Cunningham is currently co-manager on the offshore $4.7 billion (€4.1 billion) Schroder Multi-Asset Income, $147.6 million Schroder Global Multi Asset Allocation, and £19.6 million (€25 million) Schroder Global Multi-Asset Income funds. He joined the firm in 2007.

Aymeric Forest, Cunningham’s co-manager on the funds, will continue as lead manager following the departure.

A spokesperson for the firm confirmed there would be no change to the objectives or investment process of any of Cunningham’s funds, and the support team would ensure continuity of service after Cunningham’s departure.

According to FE Trustnet data, the Global Multi-Asset Income fund has fallen 7.8% over the past year, against an IA sector return that was also down, by 2.4%.

Schroders manages assets of £313.5 billion globally.
