Kames Capital has appointed Jack Holmes as investment manager on its High Yield Bond fund to work under David Ennett. Both men have been poached from Standard Life Investments (SLI) this year.
Holmes was an analyst on SLI’s European high yield team, covering sectors such as general industrials, waste and recycling, and oil and gas services.
Ennett became Kames’ head of high yield in August.
Both will report to Phil Milburn, who returns after taking time off on health grounds last September.
Over the three years to August 26, the Kames fund has returned 14.5%, according to Morningstar data. This compares with a 14.4% sector average in the Investment Association High Yield sector in the same period.
In total, Kames Capital manages assets of £57.8 billion (€73 billion) worldwide, as of June 30, 2016.
