Anglo-US investment house Janus Henderson has hired George Maris and Alex Crooke as co-heads of equities.

Based out of Denver, Maris will be responsible for leading the firm’s equities team in the US while Crooke (pictured), who will be based in London, will head up the equities team for the Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Both appointments are internal hires to new posts which will report to Enrique Chang, global chief investment officer.

Janus Henderson also announced today that Graham Kitchen, the firm’s current global head of equities, will leave the firm and the industry in March to pursue other interests in the charitable sector.

Janus Henderson has US$360.5 billion (€307 billion) of assets under management.

Headquartered in London, the company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Australian Securities Exchange.
