HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) has launched four global funds covering income and multi-asset.
The HSBC Global Equity Income and HSBC Global High Income Bond are joined by an ‘adventurous’ and a ‘cautious’ pair of multi-asset funds that also invest globally.
The funds are Oeics and aimed at UK investors.
Andy Clark, CEO of HSBC GAM (UK), said: “We know that investors tend to feel more comfortable with their home market, with those in the UK keeping almost a quarter of their equity portfolios in UK stocks.
“However, the concentration risk implied by a domestic bias may be penalising over the long term.”
The income funds provide diversification and are aimed at managing the low-interest environment.
The multi-asset funds are called the HSBC Global Strategy Conservative and HSBC Global Strategy Adventurous Portfolios, and they form part of a “flagship cost-efficient multi-asset risk-profiled range” called the HSBC Global Strategy Portfolios.
This range provides active asset allocation for the cost of a passive fund, the firm said.
The range’s ongoing charge figure is 0.16%.
