Capital Group add sales exec to expanded German office

US-based asset manager Capital Group has appointed Manuel Geiler to a newly created role focusing on business development among German financial intermediaries.

Based in Frankfurt, Geisler will work closely with Capital Group’s German sales team.

Karolyn Krekic, managing director for financial intermediaries in Germany, said: “It is important for us to increase our market presence in Germany.”

The firm – which manages $1.9 trillion (€1.7 trillion) of assets – recently invested in building out its own office in Frankfurt this year as part of a German growth plan.

Geisler has over 20 years’ experience with financial intermediaries in the country. He has held previous roles at Franco-German financial services group ODDO BHF, Frankfurt Trust, and State Street.
