A US-based exchange-traded fund (ETF) provider has launched its first smart beta products in Europe on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
WisdomTree’s European Ucits ETF platform includes four fundamentally weighted funds, providing exposure to large- and small-capitalisation US and European equities.
The Irish-domiciled, physically replicated funds will be traded in sterling, euros and US dollars, and will track WisdomTree indices.
The ETFs total expense ratios range from 0.29% to 0.38% and the funds will seek to distribute dividends on a quarterly basis. The underlying shares will be held with US-based financial services company, State Street.
Jonathan Steinberg, chief executive officer and president of WisdomTree Investments, says:

“We are excited to bring our unique ETF focus and experience to this important market, where we seek to offer differentiated investment solutions backed by a veteran management team.”
To celebrate the listing, Nik Bienkowski, co-chief executive officer of WisdomTree Europe, opened trading at the LSE yesterday.
WisdomTree, which has approximately $33.5 billion (€26.4 billion) in assets under management, says it is Europe’s first ETF provider focused on dividend-weighted ETFs and Europe’s first issuer of dividend-weighted small-capitalisation ETFs.
