UBS launches currency-hedged share classes on commodity ETFs

UBS Asset Management has launched two sterling-hedged share classes on a pair of its commodity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the London Stock Exchange.

The two funds are the UBS ETFs (IE) Bloomberg Commodity CMCI hedged GBP SF Ucits ETF and the UBS ETFs (IE) CMCI ex-Agriculture hedged GBP SF Ucits ETF.

The former tracks the performance of the UBS Bloomberg Commodity CMCI GBP-hedged Total Return Index while the latter tracks the UBS Bloomberg CMCI Ex-Agriculture Ex-Livestock Capped Index GBP-hedged Total Return Index.

Both ETFs replicate the performance of their respective indices via swap-based replication, have collateral levels in excess of 105% and have total expense ratios of 0.37%.

The London listings follow launches on Zurich’s SIX Swiss Exchange earlier this month.
