TradingScreen and Imagine Software announce merger

Consolidation in the fund management software market has increased with a merger between two systems vendors.

TradingScreen, an order and execution management system provider, and Imagine Software, a risk and compliance platform, will merge to create TS Imagine.

The deal has been put together by investment firm Francisco Partners which describes the new entity as “end-to-end trading and portfolio management software platform for connecting the investment management industry with a network of brokers, banks and exchanges”.

The newly combined business will be led by Rob Flatley, formerly of regulatory reporting firm CoreOne Technologies, and will have a staff of around 400 serving roughly 500 buy and sell-side firms.

“The industry continues to face new challenges and opportunities including the need for effective trade lifecycle management combined with real time risk analytics,” said Flatley.

Financial details were not disclosed.
