Schroders launches European sustainable equity fund

Schroders has launched a European sustainable equity fund which aims to achieve long-term outperformance while harnessing environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.

The Schroder ISF European Sustainable Equity Fund will be managed by Nicholette MacDonald-Brown, Schroders’ co-head of pan-European equity research and portfolio manager, and Scott MacLennan.

The fund will draw on the ESG investment expertise of Schroders’ sustainability team, led by Jessica Ground, global head of stewardship.

Schroders currently manages $63 billion (€55 billion) in ethically screened mandates, representing 10.7% of the firm’s total assets under management.

MacDonald-Brown said: “There is significant demand among clients for a solution that marries the best of Schroders’ European blend team with a keen focus on sustainability.”
