Schroders appoints global infrastructure head

Schroders has further expanded its private assets business after naming Chantale Pelletier as its first global head of infrastructure in private assets.

She will assume the newly created role in March, reporting to Schroder’s global heads of private assets Georg Wunderlin.

The announcement follows the appointment earlier this month of Sophie van Oosterom as global head of real estate, a role also within its private assets business.

Based in Paris, Pelletier will be responsible for growing Schroders’ infrastructure investment platform.

She will also head up Schroder Aida SAS, the firm’s Paris-based infrastructure business.

Pelletier joins from Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, a Canadian institutional investor with roughly €215 billion of assets, where she managed its global infrastructure portfolio.

According to Wunderlin, Schroders’ private assets business has identified infrastructure as a “core driver” of its growth.
