Sarasin & Partners makes key charity appointments

Sarasin & Partners, the thematic investment manager, has appointed Tom Santa-Olalla as senior associate partner and Hector McLean as investment manager in the charities team.

Santa-Olalla, formerly with Close Brothers Asset Management for six years, joins as a senior investment specialist. Previously, he advised high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals at HSBC Private Bank. He holds Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow credentials from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
Additionally, Hector McLean joins the firm having spent three years at Cantab Asset Management, providing investment management and financial planning services to its private client base.

Commenting on the appointments, Melanie Roberts, head of charities, said. “Their expertise aligns with our commitment to deliver positive, long-term returns for our charity clients. We understand the challenges charities face and our goal is to meet their investment objectives, preserving and growing their assets in real terms.”
