RWC Partners has added two fund managers to bolster its $129 million (€119 million) Global Horizon strategy fund which is led by Louise Keeling.
Miki Sugimoto has over 10 years experience and was an assistant fund manager on the Real Return Asia fund at Veritas. She was also at Newton Investment Management where she director of Japanese equity.
Matthew Hanney joins from Baillie Gifford where he worked for three years and spent time on the Global Income, Developed Asia Equities and North American Equities desks
The RWC Global Horizon equity strategy was launched in November 2013 and is currently up 10.43% since inception versus the MSCI All Country World benchmark which is up 7.22% over the same period.
Dan Mannixx, co-chief executive officer of the firm says: ““With a fund structure which puts such heavy weight on multi-year relative performance, there is a strong incentive for Louise and her team to focus on investment opportunities which are deeply out of favour, misanalysed or under-researched.”
RWC Partners has $11 billion in assets under management as at August 31 this year.
