Promotion for Clark at HSBC

HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) has appointed Andy Clark as chief executive officer of its UK business, replacing Simeon Brown.

In his new role, Clark reports to Rudolf Apenbrink, chief executive officer of HSBC GAM in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Clark joined HSBC GAM as head of UK retail in 2005 and was given the responsibility of wholesale distribution for the Middle East and North Africa region in 2008. Last year, he became regional head of wholesale for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In a statement, the asset manager says Brown, who has been with HSBC for the past 16 years, is leaving to pursue other interests.
