Old Mutual Wealth appoints IFDS founder as non-exec

Old Mutual Wealth Management, the holding company for Skandia and Old Mutual Global Investors, has appointed a fourth independent non-executive director to

its board.

Charlie Eppinger, the founder of International Financial Data Services, known as IFDS, takes up the role. Recently, Old Mutual Wealth signed a 20-year agreement to outsource a number of administration functions to IFDS.

Eppinger founded IFDS in 1995 and served as chief executive officer there for 13 years until 2007. More recently he spent 10 years at Cofunds, a UK fund platform, as chief executive and non-executive chairman.  

Old Mutual Wealth recently appointed three non-executives, including a former chief executive of Threadneedle.

Old Mutual Wealth oversees £75.2 (€88.7 billion) in customer investments, as at June 30, 2013.
