Neuberger Berman hires former NNIP equities team

Neuberger Berman has hired seven global equity investment professionals from NN Investment Partners (NNIP) in a move to develop its global equity capabilities.

The three senior portfolio managers and four research analysts join the firm’s office in The Hague and managed over $10 billion (€10.5 billion) in assets at NNIP.

The team is made up of portfolio managers Hendrik-Jan Boer, alongside Alex Zuiderwijk, Jeroen Brand, and Philip Chau, Alex Kushev, Camiel Mulders and Mark van der Geest as analysts. The team is to be headed by Boer.

According to Neuberger chief executive George Walker, the firm sees global investment capabilities as one of its “top strategic initiatives”.

Over the last seven years, the firm has appointed over 230 investment professionals, including teams managing emerging market debt, European fixed income, real estate private equity, Japanese small-mid caps, and China A-shares, Neuberger said.
