Muzinich raises €300m for private debt fund

Muzinich & Co, the traditional fixed income specialist asset manager, has raised €342 million in its latest trance of funding for a private debt fund.

The money was raised in the third close of the Muzinich Pan-European II Private Debt Fund which focuses on lower middle-market companies.

The Fund follows on from the €706.5 million closing of the firm’s first pan-European private debt fund in 2018.

Rafael Torres (pictured), co-head of private debt in Europe, said that the aftermath of Covid-19 would  see many European businesses affected by the pandemic requiring flexible financing solutions.
