Macquarie names head of wealth distribution

Macquarie Asset Management has announced the appointment of Henry Middleton to the position of managing director and head of wealth distribution for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

The creation of this role comes as a response to an observed trend of growing interest from wealth management clients in the company’s global portfolio offerings, said the asset manager.

Operating out of the London office, Middleton is set to collaborate with Macquarie Asset Management’s global wealth management network to cater to this expanding client segment.

Prior to this appointment, Middleton served at Barings for 12 years, where his responsibilities encompassed leading its US institutional and global wealth distribution activities.

His professional background also includes senior roles at international firms such as BlackRock and Accenture, based in the US and UK.
