Global equity tops sales for July

Equity funds saw €19.1 billion of sales in July, a month that marked seven consecutive months of positive long-term mutual fund flows in Europe.

Global equity funds posted €5.4 billion of inflows, making this category the bestseller among long-term funds, according to Thomson Reuters Lipper.

Overall net flows into mutual funds in Europe stood at €65.3 billion in July and €451.6 billion for 2017.

Amundi outstripped its peers with net sales of €13.5 billion in July to come top of the league, followed by BlackRock (€6.7 billion) and BNY Mellon (€6.2 billion). 

The best-selling individual fund was the Baillie Gifford Long Term Global Gro Investment B Acc, with €2.7 billion of net sales.
