DWS’s new UK head to further D&I push

Jessica Hardman, the newly appointed head of UK-based operations for DWS, says she will drive forward diversity and inclusion as part of her role, which also includes heading UK real estate.

Hardman has been with Deutsche Bank, which owns DWS, since 2004 and will continue to work as head of European portfolio management and as head of the UK real estate group.

The new appointment also sees Hardman become CEO of DWS Investments UK Ltd, subject to regulatory approvals, and join DWS’s global leadership team and the investment leadership team.

She became head of European portfolio management and UK real estate group at DWS in 2017.

DWS said Hardman is a “champion” for equality and diversity in the asset management industry in the UK and beyond and is an active ambassador for DWS’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.

Hardman said: “We are fully committed to furthering our growth aspirations in the UK market, as well as playing an important role in driving forward the diversity, equity and inclusion debate in the UK.”

DWS has over 400 people in the UK.
