BNP Paribas appoints Sébastien Danloy to global institutional sales role

Sébastien Danloy, formerly with custodian HSBC, has joined BNP Paribas’ securities services business as global head of sales & relationship management for institutional investors.

Danloy previously worked at BNP Paribas between 2001 and 2005 and most recently was global head of investor services in HSBC’s markets & securities services division.

He reports to Alvaro Camuñas, head of client development, and is based in London.

Also in his 25-year career, Danloy worked in Luxembourg for RBC Investor Services, and has also worked for Soceite Generale Securities Services.

Camuñas said Danloy had extensive experience in banking, asset management and securities services, and in-depth knowledges of various market actors including alternative investment managers.

BNP Paribas has around US$12.6 trillion under custody. The firm said Danloy would further strengthen the “full suite of solutions and multichannel client experience for the institutional investors segment, by harnessing the bank’s integrated model, future-oriented approach to technology and broad sustainable offering”.
