Mediolanum appoints managers for thematic fund

Ireland’s Mediolanum International Funds has appointed Schroders and Fidelity to manage a thematics fund that focuses on changes in society.

The fund, which is being made available in Italy and Spain, has demographic changes factored into its global equity selection.

Christophe Jaubert, Mediolanum’s chief investment officer and head of research for multi-management, said: “Every sector of the economy is facing dramatic change and the current global pandemic will undoubtedly amplify and accelerate these changes.”

The Global Demographic Opportunities Fund also aims to capitalise on new trends in consumption.

Mediolanum International Funds is the Irish asset management company of the Mediolanum Banking Group with €38 billion assets under management, as of June 2020.
