Schroders has announced that Matt Hudson (pictured) will take over the management of the Schroder UK Opportunities Fund and Luxembourg-domiciled Schroder ISF UK Opportunities
with immediate effect.
Previous fund manager, Julie Dean, will leave Schroders, having joined in 2013 when the asset management company acquired Cazenove Capital Management. A spokesperson for Schroders says that Dean has made a personal decision to leave the company, and they are disappointed to see her go.
Hudson is also from Cazenove and manages a UK equity income fund.
The board of Schroder UK Growth Fund has agreed that the business cycle investment team will continue to manage the company’s portfolio, in line with its current investment policy and immediate objectives.
The Schroder UK Opportunities Fund has seen a loss of 1.4% over one year until July 31, while the Schroder ISF UK Opportunities (EUR) has returned 7.8% for the same period.
Peter Harrison, head of investment, says: “Matt Hudson is an extremely talented investor with excellent investment performance and extensive experience running both equity and income portfolios.”
Schroders is a global asset management company with £271.5 billion (€339 billion) assets under management as at June 30, 2014.
