Manulife appoints global head of ESG research

Manulife Investment Management has appointed Peter Mennie to global head of ESG research and integration.

Mennie has worked at the firm for more than 20 years, most recently as global head of investment risk management. 

He led the ESG team from 2014 to 2016. The team has undergone some recent changes including Eric Nietsch, previously director of ESG integration and research for Asia being promoted to head of ESG for Asia. 

Based in London, Mennie will report to Christopher Conkey, global head of public markets. 

Conkey said: “ESG continues to redefine the asset management industry and Manulife Investment Management is firmly committed to collaborative ESG integration across our portfolios, creating differentiated opportunities for investors in global markets.”
