LGPS Central, the asset pool for eight local government pension funds across the Midlands of England, has appointed Trevor Castledine as its first chief commercial officer.
Castledine has previously held roles at the Lancashire County Pension Fund, Local Pensions Partnership Investments and as an independent adviser to the South Yorkshire Pension Fund.
He was most recently a managing director with investment consultancy bfinance.
In his new role with LGPS Central, he will lead engagement with partner funds, central and local government as well as the broader investment industry.
Separately, LGPS Central has started the search for its next chief investment officer following the announcement that Gordon Ross will step down as CIO after a six-year stint at LGPS Central.
Richard Law-Deeks, LGPS Central’s new chief executive, will join the company in early summer.
