JP Morgan AM launches emerging markets income fund

JP Morgan Asset Management has launched the open-ended Emerging Markets Income Fund, having brought a similar closed-ended vehicle to the market two years ago.

The new vehicle aims to provide investors with exposure to dividend-paying emerging market companies.

Richard Titherington, chief investment officer for emerging market equities, will be able to invest as much as 20% of the portfolio in debt.

Titherington will aim to provide income and long-term capital growth from a diversified portfolio of high yield emerging markets equities.

The fund is structured as an open-ended investment company, a UK structure, and benchmarked against the MSCI Emerging Markets Net Index.
