Hermes recruits emerging markets specialist from Jupiter

Hermes Investment Management has expanded its emerging market debt team with a hire from Jupiter Asset Management.

London-based Hermes has appointed Nachu Chockalingam as senior emerging market debt portfolio manager.

At Jupiter she was also an emerging markets specialist.

Chockalingam has also worked at JP Morgan as a sell-side credit analyst and then joined the Ontario Teachers’ Pensions Plan as a portfolio manager in emerging markets.

She reports to Fraser Lundie, co-head of credit, who said Chockalingam’s appointment reflected the importance of the asset class within Hermes global credit strategies.
