ETF provider HANetf has appointed Michael Geister as its director of DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) sales.
Geister brings over 15 years of ETP experience in the DACH region, initially at ETF Securities, where he introduced commodity ETPs. He later worked at SPDR ETFs for over six years and at VanEck for over three years. His most recent role was as head of crypto-ETPs at Deutsche Digital Assets.
Geister, reporting to Andre Voinea, will coordinate sales in the DACH region for the firm.
The move comes alongside the promotion of Voinea, formerly head of DACH Sales, to head of Europe sales. Voinea’s new role will provide greater coverage of European regions. Alongside Voinea, Robert Dickson is head of UK, Ireland and Channel Island Sales. Both Robert and Andre will report to Hector McNeil.
Geister, who calls himself ” a great fan of ETCs and thematic ETFs”, commented: “I hope to support the company’s strong growth path and help investors find opportunities via thematic ETFs and disruptive ETCs.”
Hector McNeil, co-founder and co-CEO of HANetf, added: “The hire adds additional strength to our highly experienced sales team and underscores HANetf’s continued growth – as well as our continued commitment to invest in our infrastructure and support functions to efficiently expand our white label ETP services and capabilities.”
