UK fund manager Gresham House has hired an investment manager to its sustainable infrastructure team, which recently won funding from pension funds for sustainable investments.
Ana Janine joins the firm from Boston Consulting Group, where she was a consultant working on private equity deals.
Gresham House recently raised £100 million (€117 million) for its British Sustainable Infrastructure Fund II. Worcestershire Pension Fund and Teesside Pension Fund backed this first funding round.
Like its forerunner BSIF I, the fund targets real assets investments that relate to environmental and societal challenges encapsulated by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Led by Peter Bachmann, the investment team has a focus on six “key sub-sectors where sustainable infrastructure solutions have the greatest potential for impact and financial reward”. These are resource efficiency, digital inclusion, waste solutions, regeneration, decarbonisation, and health & education.
In April, the firm hired Sharan Soni as investment associate. He joined from Octopus Investments, where he focused on raising and deploying capital into renewables opportunities across Europe.
