Goehring & Rozencwajg launches Ucits fund for non-US investors

Investment firm Goehring & Rozencwajg (G&R) has introduced its first Ucits fund, the Goehring & Rozencwajg Resources Fund.

Targeted at non-US investors, the fund will invest in securities of natural resources companies and offer inflation protection with low overlap to major equity index funds.

With an emphasis on equity and equity-related securities, including small, mid and large-cap firms, the fund is anticipated to attract investors seeking inflation protection, given its minimal overlap with major equity index funds and high correlation to commodity prices.

FundRock, a division of the Apex Group, will oversee management and global distribution, while the European Development Bank (EDB) will serve as the fund depository.

Initially available to professional investors in the UK, Singapore, Switzerland and Hong Kong, G&R plans to expand to retail investors later.

At present, G&R’s Ucits fund holds approximately $45 million in assets under management, with a target of reaching $200 million by the conclusion of 2023.
