Franklin Templeton hires Toby Hayes to UK multi-asset team

Franklin Templeton has added to its UK multi-asset team with the hire of Toby Hayes as portfolio manager.

Hayes will be responsible for developing UK multi-asset strategies and report to Brent Smith, managing director of funds research and management, Franklin Templeton Multi-Asset Strategies.

Hayes was previously multi-asset portfolio manager at Pacific Real Estate Capital Partners, where he helped develop the company’s Liquid Property Fund, a multi-asset Ucits property vehicle.

Hayes was also founding partner at multi-asset boutique firm Armstrong.

Rick Frisbie, head of Franklin Templeton’s Multi-Asset Strategies, says the hire “underscores our commitment to further develop these capabilities and offerings in key markets in response to clients’ needs and appetite for this rapidly-growing sector”.
