Foresight launches infrastructure income fund

Foresight Group, the London-based infrastructure and private equity investment manager, has launched an infrastructure income fund.

The FP Foresight UK Infrastructure Income Fund will invest in UK-listed renewable energy and infrastructure equities and bonds and will target annual income of 5%.

The company says the fund will capitalise on the “unprecedented growth” of the UK renewable energy and infrastructure sector over the last five years which – with a 27% increase in cumulative UK renewable energy generation over the next eight year – Foresight expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

Foresight has £2.8 billion (€3.2 billion) of assets under management across a number of funds including listed vehicles, limited partnerships, enterprise investment schemes and venture capital trusts.

Funds managed by Foresight own more than 85 solar farms around the world and 28 waste-to-energy plants in the UK.
