Fidelity International taps abrdn for multi-asset hire

Julie-Ann Ashcroft has joined Fidelity International as a portfolio manager in its solutions and multi-asset team, departing abrdn after nearly a decade at the Scottish fund house.

Ashcroft will work to enhance Fidelity’s sustainable capabilities across its multi-asset investments, according to the firm.

She joins from abrdn, where she spent nearly 10 years, working most recently as its head of sustainability and investments for its discretionary business, where she built out its sustainability offering, encompassing direct investing and fund-of-funds.

She also managed a multi-asset investment team.

Ashcroft joined abrdn in 2013 as a senior portfolio manager, prior to which she worked for nearly seven years as an investment manager at Newton Investment Management, according to LinkedIn.

Henk-Jan Rikkerink, global head of solutions and multi-asset at Fidelity International, said:

“We are thrilled to have Julie-Ann join the firm. Julie-Ann brings further experience and investment insight to the solutions and multi-asset team, increasing our ability to serve clients in sustainability-focused strategies.”
