Federated Hermes makes hires to impact team

US-headquartered Federated Hermes has added Amélie Thévenet and Jordan Patel to its impact opportunities team.

According to the firm, the appointments come in response to a “surge” in demand for sustainable investments. They will both be based in London and report to head of impact investing Ingrid Kukuljan.

Patel, joining from Titan Capital Management where he has been an equity analyst, takes up the role of senior analyst in the team.

At Titan, Patel specialised in sectors such as global energy, shipping, renewables, clean technology and water.

Thévenet joins the firm from Jupiter Asset Management where she was global emerging markets equity manager for 13 years – nine of which she worked alongside Kukuljan. She will begin as director with a view to becoming co-portfolio manager down the line.

Eoin Murray, head of investment at the international business at Federated Hermes, said: “Demand for sustainable investing has been on the rise and we have seen this accelerated further as the pandemic has put the need for sustainable solutions under the spotlight.”
