Exotix Capital expands frontier markets team

London-based emerging markets investment bank Exotix Capital has expanded its frontier markets team with three senior appointments.

Serge Marston (pictured) joins Exotix’s executive management board as a non-executive director. Chiamaka Ezenwa has been appointed head of investment banking for West Africa and Mbithe Muema has been made head of equity sales in Nairobi.

Marston is currently head of Europe Middle East and Africa sales at NEX Markets. As non-executive director on Exotix board he will work with CEO Duncan Wales and chairman Mark Richards.

Chiamaka Ezenwa joins from FBN Capital where she was head of equity sales. She will work with Andrew Moorfield and Fabrizio Ferrero, co-heads of Investment Banking at Exotix, and Esili Eigbe, head of equities, Africa, to expand business in West Africa.

Mbithe Muema was previously head of institutional sales at African Alliance Kenya. She will work with Esili Eigbe, and Debbie Rees, global head of equity sales.

Earlier this month Exotix appointed Matthew Pearson, former head of equities at ICBC Standard Bank, as global head of equities, and Christopher Dielmann, formerly research analyst in the International Monetary Fund’s strategy, policy and review department, as senior economist.
