Edmond de Rothschild appoints Laurent Tignard as head of AM

Edmond de Rothschild Group has hired Laurent Tignard to head its global asset management business.

This appointment is part of group CEO Christophe de Backer’s strategic plan for 2013-2016, unveiled in December 2012.

De Backer says that Tignard “will help us consolidate our expertise and confirm our leadership in independent asset management in Europe and beyond”.

Tignard was previously a managing director at HSBC Global Asset Management.

The asset mangement business has CHF 60 billion (€50 billion) under management and five investment hubs throughout the world (Paris, Geneva, London, Frankfurt and Hong Kong).
