DWS has appointed Dan Robinson as the Emea head of alternative credit, in line with its strategy to expand its €114 billion alternatives franchise.
The division of DWS has a 50-year track record, with strengths in real estate, infrastructure and liquid real assets.
Robinson’s previous role was as managing partner of Capital Asset Solutions at Man Group, where he handled multi-asset credit in insurance, institutional and retail channels, as well as a private equity-led offshore reinsurance growth strategy.
Additionally, he was the global head of CLOs and Loans at Man Group, leading the structured credit and leveraged loan business.
Before Man Group, Robinson was the chief investment officer (Europe) at CIFC Asset Management and the head of liquid credit (Europe) at Apollo Global Management.
He started his career at KPMG Corporate Restructuring and holds an MA (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh.
Based in London, Robinson will directly report to Paul Kelly, the global head of alternatives at DWS. DWS has been managing corporate credit portfolios for over 25 years and aims to build diversified portfolios focusing on risk-adjusted returns and capital preservation for a global client base.
