Deutsche AM hands new ESG role to Benelux executive

Deutsche Asset Management has expanded the role of one of its senior Benelux executives, Pieter Furnée, to also become global head of responsible investing.

The German asset manager said the role reflected its strategic focus on environmental, social, governance (ESG) and responsible investment.

In January Deutsche AM announced it had appointed Petra Pflaum as chief investment officer for responsible investments.

Furnée’s role sits within Deutsche AM’s global client group and he continues to be head of global client group in Benelux.

Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Furnée was with Dutch asset manager, NNEK.
