Charles Stanley has expanded its distribution team with the appointment of Richard Kelly as head of strategic partnerships.
In his new role, Kelly will focus on the development and management of relationships and strategic partnerships, including with national advice firms, networks, service providers and platforms.
He will also promote the company’s suite of investment solutions and model portfolios.
Based in London, Kelly will report directly to Sean Osborne, group head of sales.
Kelly joins Charles Stanley from Brooks MacDonald where he also served as head of strategic partnerships and, prior to this, held roles at a number of asset managers, including most recently at Premier Asset Management and Vanguard.
Charles Stanley has also hired Laura Mathison as intermediary sales manager, who will be based in Edinburgh.
Mathison also joins the firm from Brooks Macdonald and has previously worked at Nucleus and Standard Life.
Osborne said: “We have exceptional asset management capabilities at Charles Stanley and a strong suite of solutions. We continue to work closely with intermediaries across the UK to help meet their client’s investment needs.”
“Richard and Laura bring a wealth of experience that will help us forge more long-standing relationships and deliver the high levels of service that we are recognised for, as we continue to grow our presence in the intermediary market,” he added.
Both Kelly and Mathison joined the firm in January this year.
